Hello everyone,
Is it possible to buld a link directly to a set of search results within
Web Publisher by embedding the search commands and search terms in a
URL?
I can see that it's possible to link directly to Advanced Search mode by
using the URL: http://hostname/rmwp?&func=advSearch but I'm hoping to
be able to link to a ready-made search, specifically to a search for a
particular keyword.
Does anyone know if it can be done and what the correct URL syntax would
be?
Kind regards,
Kate

Hi Kate,
Yes this is possible, you need the dbOverride=1 parameter in there:--
e.g.
http://localhost:8080/rmwp?dbOverride=1&fields=Keywords&func=doAdvSearch
&dbId
=(whatever)&terms=(whatever)
You can see this in action on the url when you click a keyword in the
results pages.

I'm so glad this topic appeared on the RIS-List.
May I ask, how would one link directly to a specific reference, such as
to a reference with a RefID [2] of 1622?
Thanks,
Mark Hewes
