Dear Anton,

You can export Reference Manager databases in tab-delimited format,
which is fairly easy to open in Excel. to do this:

1. Open your RM database
2. File>Export
3. enter a filename - will be saved in .txt text file format
3. Select tab delimited as your output format
4. Select your Reference option
5. Export
6. Open Excel
7. File>open
8. Browse to the location where you saved the text file
9. select it>Open
10. Go through the Import text wizard:
11. Select delimited format>Next
12. select your delimiter style>Next
13.Finish

You can now go through and sort the database, delete unwanted fields
etc.

regards

Jeremy

Hello,
I need to put a small RM database on the web (several 100's references).
Unfortunately, I can't use Web publisher as the web server adminstrator
woludn't allow this.
I am looking for solutions to export the database keeping a minimum of
field structure (authors, year, adress..)

The first solution I think of is to export the database to excel with
different columns for fields.

I didn' see any output style to excel , does anybody has developed it to
easily export to excel files (as csv format ie.) or thought about
another solution ?

Thanks for your help

Product Reviews

"Overall, Reference Manager is an excellent citation manager. It is simple enough to be used out of the box and not too intimidating for a new user. Equally, though, it contains enough powerful features and customisation to satisfy advanced users."
