RE: Export from RM to excel ?
Author: Peter    Posted: Thur, 10 Nov 2005 16:15:00 -0800

Anton:

If you create an output style with each field separated by a 'tab' or
some symbol that does not appear in any field (dollar sign $, pound sign
#, percent %, etc.), you should be able to import the resulting text
file into Excel. If you tell Excel how the fields re delimited (tab, $,
#, %, etc.), it should import OK.

Subject: <RefMan> Export from RM to excel ?

Hello,
I need to put a small RM database on the web (several 100's references).

Unfortunately, I can't use Web publisher as the web server adminstrator
woludn't allow this.
I am looking for solutions to export the database keeping a minimum of
field structure (authors, year, adress..)

The first solution I think of is to export the database to excel with
different columns for fields.

I didn' see any output style to excel , does anybody has developed it to

easily export to excel files (as csv format ie.) or thought about
another solution ?

Thanks for your help

Product Reviews

"Overall, Reference Manager is an excellent citation manager. It is simple enough to be used out of the box and not too intimidating for a new user. Equally, though, it contains enough powerful features and customisation to satisfy advanced users."
Information World Review

"It's highly recommended for anyone needing a powerful reference tool."
