In answer to the many entries regarding the subject matter, let me
reiterate: To move references from a version 10 database to a version 9
database, open
both databases. (At first you'll need to get a version 9 database, save it
under a new name, and then delete all the references to get an empty
database). You may need to close and reopen RefMan (version 10) to "activate
its
knowledge of both databases.
Then just copy any or all references from the RM 10 DB into the RM 9 DB.
This will retain the RefID numbers, but you have to make sure there are no
duplicate RefID number entries. If there are, establish which one is
authoritative and delete the other, then copy the authoritative one (in
whichever direction). This is how I maintain our lab database in version
10, while keeping it compatible with my colleague's enforced use of RefMan
9.5
