I have RefMan 10, don't know about the f11 options, and use a T1 fast
connection through the Purdue server.

That's a good idea in any case. With RM 9 it seemed to tell me how many
there were and I would cancel it after it downloaded a hundred or so.
With RM 10 I set it to download a max of 200. But it would be nice to know
how many it found. I really don't have many bells and whistles set on RM.
Usually just searching MedLine, generating databases for grants and
publications, and writing manuscripts for scientific journals. If I don't
use options often, I don't remember what they are.

It would time out. It doesn't do this all the time, just intermittently.
It would say it was waiting on a reply from the server, and nothing would
happen. I'd hit cancel to end the program, and nothing would happen.
Then I'd have to sit for a minute or two and it would time out. Just seemed
to me like if I hit "cancel" that it should abort the operation immediately.

Thanks!

dave

Product Reviews

"Overall, Reference Manager is an excellent citation manager. It is simple enough to be used out of the box and not too intimidating for a new user. Equally, though, it contains enough powerful features and customisation to satisfy advanced users."
Information World Review

"It's highly recommended for anyone needing a powerful reference tool."
