By using the Import Filter Editor, you can specify any Tag, e.g. "Art.
No." and map it to a Destination Field like a user defined field, e.g.
"User Def 1".
For XML, I found included in the bibutils programs,
http://www.scripps.edu/~cdputnam/software/bibutils/, is med2xml which
converts Pubmed XML references to XML intermediate. So to convert
Pubmed XML to RIS, run the following commands:
med2xml pubmed-results.xml > temp.xml
xml2ris temp.xml > pubmed-results.ris
(The author Chris Putnam, also just posted a new version of med2xml -
with some fixes)

Subject: <RefMan> Importing from WoS problem
How to deal with journals using "Art. No."?
Some Journals use "Art. No." instead of "pages", when you import those
articles from web of science (or other sources) into Reference manager,
"Art. No." field is automatically removed, because it doesn't have such
field.
What to do about that?
I've noticed that in some cases, importing directly from the journal
publisher it works so i believe that the problem is linked to the import
routine from WoS.
