RM 11 + Vista and Office 2007 :: any problems??

RM 11 + Vista and Office 2007 :: any problems??
Author: David Lawrence    Posted: Tue, 13 Feb 2007 19:29:09 -0500

What are the known issues / conflicts when using RM 11 and Vista and/or
Office 2007? Has anyone had any problems. We cannot do without RM when
we replace old equipment and new machines will have Vista.

Is there anything to do beforehand to avoid them (if there are any)?

Thanks

I have it running fine on Vista for several months here. The principal
issue is the old style help files" these are deprecated with Vista and
you will need to hunt down something from Microsoft to read the files on
Vista (winhlp32). I don't really use the Word integration but the Ref
Man 11 toolbars are installed in Office 2007 and all the dialogs look
okay as well.
I am talking Vista x86 have not tried it on 64 bit Vista yet.

Product Reviews

"Overall, Reference Manager is an excellent citation manager. It is simple enough to be used out of the box and not too intimidating for a new user. Equally, though, it contains enough powerful features and customisation to satisfy advanced users."
Information World Review

"It's highly recommended for anyone needing a powerful reference tool."
