Dear Dr. Musacchio,
If from within RefMan, you go to References, Internet Search, and change
the option to "PubMed", and then do your search,
and nothing works,
I'm afraid there's a real possibility that your domain (.cu , Cuba) is
blocked from accessing PubMed for political reasons. U.S. researchers
aren't allowed to go to scientific conferences in your country, and it
wouldn't surprise me if U.S. government resources (such as PubMed) are
blocked to those operating from a .cu domain.
I believe there are only five countries on this "bad boy" list. And if
it strikes you as absurd that Cuba has been on it for four
decades--well, it is absurd. But I'm sure you understand the importance
of Florida in U.S. presidential elections, and Cuban emigres are a very
large (and vocal) part of the population there, and they do NOT like the
idea of the U.S. normalizing relations with your country...
Nor can I offer to do your searches for you and send you the
results--such a gesture on my part would be grounds for immediate and
automatic termination, as I work for state government. Perhaps one of
our Canadian compatriots can be of more assistance.
Regretfully,
Karyn Popham
