RE: Shortcut key for moving between reference list and

Hi Peter,

How many different "something's" are you adding to that particular field. Is it different each time?

Would this help? (assuming that you do not have to add totally different terms to each reference)

termA
termB

to be added: e.g., to "User Def 1" field

- Make a selection of references (search) where you would like to add "termA" or select targets by marking the references
- add "termA" to the "User Def 1" field of one of the retrieved or selected references
- save
- RIGHT mouse click on the "User Def 1" field of the changed reference
- Copy Field
- Choose "All" (if you retrieved a reference list) or "marked references" if you selected some by marking them

Repeat the same steps for "termB".

Best regards,

I'm going through my database and to add something in one field in each
record. But it is really tedious and my right arm hurts, because I have
to use the mouse every time I shift between the list in the bottom of
the screen, and the reference in the top. Is it really true that no
shortcut exists to jump between these two parts of the screen?

Best regards,
Peter.

Product Reviews

"Overall, Reference Manager is an excellent citation manager. It is simple enough to be used out of the box and not too intimidating for a new user. Equally, though, it contains enough powerful features and customisation to satisfy advanced users."
Information World Review

"It's highly recommended for anyone needing a powerful reference tool."
