I wonder if someone can help. I am working with a long Word 2000 document
(344 pages)which consists of 9 sub-documents collated within a single
'master' document. I have not merged these sub-documents. When I generate a
bibliography (Procite 5/ Win ME) everything is fine except the bibliography
is inserted between chapters 8 and 9, and chapter 9 is deleted! Can anyone
assist?

Try checking the Bookmarks and deleting the ones related to Procite. Do
it on a *copy* of your document, of course !

I would guess that you have the bookmark for your bibliography surrounding
chapter 9. You can see those bookmarks in word under Tools...Options...View
Bookmarks. Each time you rerun the bibliography Procite deletes the old
text between the bookmarks and puts in the new one. Get rid of the
bookmarks and the old bibliography and Procite will insert the bibliography
at the end. between Chapters 8 and 9. This is a guess.
