Dear Sandra,
Thanks for replying. I was interested to hear that Pro Cite works well for
standard MARC. I was anticipating that there'd be some work to do on the
import filters though so it's good to hear that assumption is correct. I'm
quite keen on the ability to produce subject headings and also I think Pro
Cite has better searching than Reference Manager.
However, I'm concerned that Pro Cite doesn't do the following: Can't set
user defined fields, Can't set mandatory fields, Can't search across several
databases, and there's no search session history. I guess I need to make a
value judgement on how important these features are to the project. I'd be
interested to hear if you've found any particular limitations frustrating?
I should assure that I'm not intending to plague you with Pro Cite queries!
but would be grateful to hear from you again if there's anything that
springs to mind.
Thank you,
Christina
