Hello everyone
I wonder who on this list has already played around with Connotea (
www.connotea.org ) ?
I am keeping a ProCite database that goes back to 1991 (it started as a
VAX/VMS file, then dBase, ...) and contains more than 7000 entries.
Importing into Connotea via RIS seems to work in principle (using Dr.
Phil Monroe's hints posted 4 Aug 2005 - thanks!) but I have a few
specific problems:
The Connotea help file says that up to 1000 records may be imported at
once. However, my personal record is only at about 50. Why? In cases
when upload does not work in Connotea, I receive a file "upload"
(without extension) that my browser wants to save. It is actually empty.
Furthermore, I'd be interested in how to set the "private" flag for all
files to be uploaded at once.
I know that this question should also be addressed to Connotea support /
forum but I also wanted to let people know about Connotea which I think
is quite helpful. Also, there may be a requirement to edit the ProCite
entries in batch before exporting.
regards,
Berthold
