Oops - had the wrong addy in my addressbook. Following is the message I =
was trying to send:
Can anyone advise on the issue of "switches" - using the "/d" switch (or =
other switch) in a citation insertion in order to suppress the author =
name, thus when bibiography is created, only the date remains. =
Particular for use in a direct quote statement: So-an-so (1998) =
states.......
Any help is appreciated. I have tried all the user manual =
instructions, talked with librarians highly skilled with ProCite, looked =
all over the web....and remain......frustrated. Trisha Pearce

This one gets me every time, it does seem astoundingly difficult to get it
to work. It's essential to leave a space before the /d. You also seem to
have to put it in at the completely unformatted stage. So this seems to
work:
Recently Lander et al {Lander, Bruce, et al. 1999 #5240 /d} has ...
If you select a citation and revert to original text, then add the /d after
a space, it may just work...

Trisha,
If it's a matter of suppressing all author names in a bibliography, I
find it easier to simply reconfigure the bibliography so they don't
display and save that as a distinct output style.
