Hi:
Have any of you been able to get RefViz to work with ProCite? I have
tried but am unable to get the import / export filters to work properly.
Maybe someone on the List has had better luck?

Jim:
To get data from ProCite into RefViz, you must create a RIS formatted
text file as an intermediate step. In ProCite, mark the records you
wish to export for analysis in RefViz, then choose File -> Print
Bibliography. Set the desired records in the "Show" dropdown, and set
the Output Style setting to "RIS". Click on the "Configure" button,
then on the fields tab. Select all of the optional fields, and click on
the "OK" button. Lastly, click on the "Save..." button and save the
file to the desired location. Next, from within RefViz, choose File ->
New view (next choose the "using reference files" option if you are
using version 2.0). Browse to the location where you saved the
bibliography from ProCite and import the file. RefViz will
automatically detect the RIS format and load the file for analysis.
To send data from RefViz to ProCite, select the references you want to
port over to ProCite. Click on the "Send References to Bibliography
Manager" button, or choose File -> Send References to -> Bibliography
Manager. Select the ProCite database into which you would like to send
the data (or enter the name of a new one), and click on the "Open"
button. ProCite will be launched (if not running already) and the data
transferred to the indicated database.
