<P>First the parameters of my system:<BR><BR>System: Compaq Presario 2100, Win XP<BR>Ver. Procite 4.0.3<BR>Application: I am using Procite for more than 10 years now.&nbsp; My main application has changed from bibliography to storing and editing (search and replace) large amounts of OCRed pages of books and transfer of records&nbsp; between "raw", "partially edited" and "finalized" databases (about 100000 to 300000 records with 90 MB PDT-files and 300 MB PDX-files (rebuilding time: overnight).<BR><BR>To my surprise the SEARCH funktion of ProCite did not work anymore when I booted up my computer this morning (upon clicking, the search button changed appearance but no search was effectuated).<BR><BR>I deinstalled ProCite and reinstalled it again. Result: The SEARCH funktion still did not work.<BR><BR>I did a search on files that had been changed during yesterdays session: I had installed StarOffice 5.2. ....<BR><BR>After deinstalling StarOffice and rebooting, ProCite worked as!
it should !</P>
