Ian, here are the first steps you can take to create a "journals only"
list:

(1) Select all your journal records (via the "Search" function).

(2) Enter the "Index" menu from the Main Menu.

(3) From the "Index" menu choose "Select fields." This will give you a
display of all 45 Pro-Cite fields; the fields relevant to the
current
default workform will be shown.

(4) Press <F9> and select the "Journals-Short" workform. This will
highlight
the fields in the "Journals-Short" workform.

(5) Cursor to the Jrnl field and type "T" (for Title). A "T" will appear
to the left of the the field.

(6) Remove any other such settings (A, T, W, D) by cursoring to those
fields and pressing the space bar to eliminate these settings.

You are now ready to select "Layout options," toggling the first menu
item until you get "Authority list." Then perform the index operation.

I'm not walking you through the whole index/authority procedure, but if
you need help with that let me know.

Do a search by workform (journals long and journals short). Choose the
index option from the main menu. Use the select fields option to choose
the fields you want indexed (as titles). Use the Layout option to tell
procite you want to create an authority list. Use the index option to
create the authority list. Go to print and select 'Print authority list'
- Procite will ask you for the name of the list (don't put in the .lst
extension - I think).

Good luck.

Ian, I wish I knew! We just got the Windows version, which has handy drop
boxes for one to pick the journal title . . . from a list of every title
of everything! The problem seems to be that the list is created from too
many fields 04, 09, and some others instead of just journal titles!!
Help would be appreciated.
