Subject: Default paths in a network installation
Comments: To:
Has anyone found a way round this problem (PBS - Can we have this in 3.0.3?)?
I have a 5-user network installation of ProCite 3 and each user wants to be
able to point, when opening databases, etc, to their LOCAL database directory.
At the moment, we are all running the .exe from a central location (obviously)
and whenever I try and open a database, the FILE...OPEN action takes me to the
..\database directory which is a sub-directory of where the .exe is run from,
i.e. on the networj drive. However, all my databases are stored locally and I
want to be able to set my local drive as the default.
The .ini file has this entry:
YDirectories?
Database File Path=c:\procite3\database
but it is obviously being ignored.
Anyone got any ideas? Is this fixed in 3.0.2 which I am currently waiting
for?
Many thanks,
