We have university-wide site licenses for both Maple (version 6)
and Matlab (version 5.3.0).
Poking around the Maple installation I came across detailed
comments within /usr/local/maple/bin/maple (Maple's startup
shell script) which instructs how to turn on the Maple-to-Matlab
connection on various platforms, including Linux. After struggling
with it for a while without success, I read /usr/local/maple/readme.txt
where it says "the Maple-MATLAB link is not supported on Linux".
Is the readme.txt file correct, or is there still some hope to
get Maple-MATLAB link working on Linux?
