| I use following System
| Redhat 7.3
| Kernel 2.4.18
| glibc 2.2
| and
| Maple 6.0
|
| Now. I get following message if I will start maple:
|
| [root@nbstefan bin]# ./maple
| /usr/local/maple/bin.IBM_INTEL_LINUX_REDHAT/mapleTTY: relocation error:
| /usr/local/maple/bin.IBM_INTEL_LINUX_REDHAT/libc.so.6: symbol
| _dl_sysdep_start, version GLIBC_2.0 not defined in file ld-linux.so.2
| with link time reference
|
| Is there a possibility to run maple 6 on my system?
Yes. First, you have Maple 6.01, not Maple 6 (sometimes referred to as
6.0 or 6.00).
For glibc 2.2 based distributions, you need a workaround described in
http://www.maplesoft.com/support/Faqs/Maple6/Installation/4.shtml,
although you report a different error message...
