I sometimes have problems cutting and pasting, often solvable by pasting into a text file, then copying from there to the destination application. I have had the same problem pasting from Maple 8 into MS Outlook Express 6 or MS FrontPage 2000 using Windows NT or XP; it often either does nothing or crashes OE or FrontPage. Some programs seem to have trouble interpreting the clipboard format that Maple uses. This is an annoying problem. The solution that I use is to paste first to Notepad (which is small and simple and so starts up quickly) and from there to wherever I really want to paste; Notepad seems to be able to "sanitize" the clipboard contents without crashing.
