[MUG] Transformation of Old Workspaces
Author: Robert E Terry    Posted: Mon, 17 Feb 2003 18:20:57 -0500

>> From: "Robert E. Terry" "reterry"

Dear MUG,

I have recently upgraded to Maple 7 but find it very difficult to
get a clean transformation of Maple 5 R4 workspaces into any
easily useable form.

What is the collective wisdom as to the best means of doing
this? One of the most irritating results is that execution groups
from a "Maple text" file which had "option-returns" inserted to
make the code more readable come into a Maple 7 worksheet
as disjoint (and hence illegitimate) execution groups.

Regards,

Robert Terry

Product Reviews

"Without the Maple software, we would have to spend weeks generating the equations of motion for every experiment. Then the chances that we did it right would basically be near zero. There would always be a mistake somewhere. It is very difficult to set up a dynamic motion model by hand."
- Jean-Claude PiedBeouf, Ph.D Manager of Robotics, Canadian Space Agency

"Its very good - highly accurate and easy to use. The speed of Maple allows me to change equations and quickly reintegrate them into the application, so more possibilities can be explored to achieve the precise effect desired."
Shawn Neely, Senior R & D Director for PDI/Dreamworks
