[MATHCAD] Boy do I feel cheated
Author: Dan Coursey    Posted: Wed, 22 Sep 1999 08:07:23 -0700
After much deliberation I just purchased Mathcad 8, in spite of all the
problems I had read about and the service pack inadequacies. Now I see a
new version is ready to roll-out, and no further fixes on the horizon. That
isn't right. I will never purchase another product from this company.

Can the list administrator please temporarily remove Mr. Drinkwater from the
list so we don't continue to get these "out of office" messages?

Thanks.
Scott Mange

Hi

Already done I hope. I was just offline for a couple of hours and missed
it. We have many holiday words trapped but not yet "annual leave" but we
will. Sorry for the inconvenience.

Best Regards
Paul Bragg

Certainly they must have some sort of policy about providing free upgrades
for purchases within 30, 60, 90 days or whatever. (Even with evil ol'
Microsoft, it's 6 months.) If they don't they're probably the only software
developer on the planet that doesn't.

Paul,

Not 'repeat' msgs, but the last msg I sent to the mathcad@lists also went
to two others I've never heard of - and was rejected too.

Any ideas on what might have happened? I know neither of the other two
recipients and have never sent a msg to a multiple list.

I see a lot of people complaining about being cheated with recent purchases
of the bug-ladden V8. I don't blame you at all.

However, have any of you tried to contact Mathsoft to see if they will
provide you a free upgrade to V2000?
