[mathcad] Mathcad 14 problems
Author: Malcolm Reeves    Posted: Mon, 02 Nov 2009 17:44:26 +0000
Hi,

Anyone else run pspice? I find that mathcad 14 does not like running
at the same time as pspice. I get out of memory error, repeatedly!
Every few seconds another error box pops up and I have to kill mathcad
using process manager (ctrl-alt-del).

I also find that mathcad 14 is significantly slower than mathcad 11.
And I have no problems running 11 with pspice (in fact I wonder why I
paid to upgrade! NO wonder PTC are still discounting the price of
14).

I'm running XP Home, 2G RAM, AMD 5200 CPU so not a slow box. And a
typical mathcad sheet is just transformer winding calculations so
nothing complex. In mathcad 11 the calculation was instant, in 14 you
can see the redraw. I don't how users get on with complex
calculations.

I run both, but not at the same time. All Mathcad versions have memory leak issues. Animation in Mathcad is particularly bad.
