Guang,

You can also select file / properties /XML options and choose "No
images" and "Don't store large evaluated result". This will
substantially reduce the file size AND make saving much quicker.

Guang,

What version of Mathcad are you using? If it's M12 or later, and you're
saving as an xmcd file, then (assuming you haven't already done so :-) )
you
could try:
1. opening Properties from the File menu, choose the XML options tab and
select 'No images'.
2. saving as Mathcad Compressed format (xmcdz).

This will substantially reduce the size of a worksheet.

Boni,

1) For units that MathCAD defined, you may or may NOT need to divide the
units.
2) For those units that you defined, you have to divide the plotted
function
by the desired units.

I tried to attached a file as an example, but failed to do so . Instead,
the
following message was receive. "Sorry, your message was not sent out to
'mathcad' because it is too large....."

Can anyone point me to a good reference on control of units when
plotting in
MathCAD?

Is it sometimes necessary to divide the plotted function by the desired
units?

Is it always necessary to specify units on the axis limits?

Any help would be appreciated.

Product Reviews

"Our work ranges from complex medical imaging research to large-scale mapping and diagrams and we need a tool that is able to handle anything we investigate. With Mathcad, we are able to manipulate and analyse our data quickly while at the same time documenting our work, for sharing and publication. We also use it for pilot studies conducted in support of research grant applications. It is an end-to-end tool for research and development."
Dr. Kenneth Castleman, President of Advanced Digital Imaging Research (ADIR), Houston, Texas

"Mathcad is an integral product for my work... With Mathcad, itís easy to disseminate design calculations because the documents look like real math. Thereís very little I canít do in Mathcad. The main benefits come from the format, which resemble a typed set of calculations. These programs are easier to develop by engineers and easier for others to follow and review since the logic is expressed in a familiar manner. The format is what places Mathcad head and shoulders above other programs of a similar function."
