[mathcad] Mathcad 11! Platinum!! Limited edition!!!
Author: Andy Spragg    Posted: Wed, 30 Jul 2003 10:09:03 +0100
I just got an advert on my desk offering me the above (OK, the factorial
excesses are mine). At least it stopped short of releasing it on coloured
vinyl, or in a picture bag, or in a collector's rosewood box with silver
intaglio ...

However, it would only cost me £199 as a reluctant upgrader. And it would
probably be worth that to me for the two Mathcad extension packs, if it all
worked OK. However, a little bird insists on reminding me that you don't
get owt for nowt, and that if Mathsoft are having to resort to tactics like
this to shift Mathcad 11, there's probably a good reason why I should
conttinue to eschew it.

Any opinions?

Andy

Well, I DO have the limited edition version with a picture of Les and Natasha laser engraved on the disk, the candid Beta testing wrap party photo booklet, and the rub on tattoo. I'm keeping it in the original shrink wrap, and plan to sell it for big bucks on ebay around the holidays.
