Hi list
I am experiencing major problems with mathcad 2000 under windows XP with
it crashing when copy & pasting in graph regions, I am also getting the
same occasionally when cutting & pasting files in windows explorer when
a mathcad document is open but not being worked on? I didn't get this
behaviour under windows 2000.
Is this a known problem & is there a fix?
Windows indicates there is a problem in ole32.dll ModVer 5.1.2600.5512

I had a similar problem. I was told Mathcad 14 is the only version
supported on Vista, but that crashes from time to time too! Even when it
doesn't crash, it leaves bits of itself in memory, just like v13.

Hi List
Having done some more digging I discovered I had not installed the
latest service patch PROmc2k2.exe which I managed to find, this seems to
have cured the problem. It is noteworthy to mention that all service
patches for old versions of mathcad seem to have disappeared of the
adeptscience website, my guess is that since PCT have taken over
mathsoft older versions are no longer supported?
If anyone needs this update it can be found at
http://www.metaftp.com/ftpserver/9092114/401 or if this disappears give
me a shout.

Hi Lewis
not quite what I meant. say you have a graph and wish to plot multiple
variables on axis, I make place markers on the axis then copy & paste
the original axis variable into the other positions then edit them,
copying on the x axis seems to be problem free but doing it on the y
axis causes a crash see image.

Dear Mona
Do you need to have a service contract to download patches as download
requires password etc. I have a legal copy of 12.

Dear Rob,
The service releases from that page do not require a service contract. You need a password for the PTC website in general, but anyone can get one.

Dear Rob and others,
You just set one up when you land on the page. The ptc.com website and
http://www.ptc.com/support/mathcad_downloads.htm is available to
everyone.
Regards,
Mona

Dear Rob,
The service releases from that page do not require a service contract.
You need a password for the PTC website in general, but anyone can get
one.
Regards,
Mona

Dear Mona
Do you need to have a service contract to download patches as download
requires password etc. I have a legal copy of 12.
Robert Beale
Service patches back to version 11 are available on the PTC
website at http://www.ptc.com/support/mathcad_downloads.htm

Hi List
Having done some more digging I discovered I had not installed
the
latest service patch PROmc2k2.exe which I managed to find, this
seems to
have cured the problem. It is noteworthy to mention that all
service
patches for old versions of mathcad seem to have disappeared of
the
adeptscience website, my guess is that since PCT have taken over
mathsoft older versions are no longer supported?
If anyone needs this update it can be found at
http://www.metaftp.com/ftpserver/9092114/401 or if this
disappears give
me a shout.
Regards
mark
