In case anyone should have the same problems: we recently had Mathcad
11.2a files that caused Mathcad 12.1 to crash with the message:
Application generated an exception that could not be handled
Process id=0xa00(2560), thread id=ox204(516)
The "error" was eventually traced to the fact that optimize was
inadvertently applied to a function written to read in data files. Once
optimize was removed from this function call the file opened and
calculated without error.
