[MATHCAD] Special functions in MathCAD
Author: =?iso-8859-1?Q?=22Dr=2E_Francisco_Garc=EDa_Reina=22?=    Posted: Wed, 28 Apr 1999 09:01:59 -0500

Dear Paul:

Really, I need all this functions, and many others. I had been working in generating special functions in MathCAD since 80's, when I begun with Version 1.0. Now, I have more than 20 special functions in worksheet, like quicksheets, ready for using in any calculus. For example, I send to you my worksheet in Airy Functions (in Spanish, in version 6, and algorithm from Abromowitz and Stegun, Specials Functions Table). But, in order to minimized the time of calculations, I prefer that this Specials Function are built-in, in same way that integer order Bessel Functions, for example. In Mathematica this functions are built-in, and only I use this math software when I need to do extremely long and tedious calculations, for example, in eigenvalues problems in dielectric mutilayered optical waveguide. In any others case I prefer to work in MathCAD, because in this I write my worksheet in same way that I think.

Pancho
