Ovid/Medline import filter issue
Author:    Posted: Thu, 8 Sep 2005 18:11:38 -0400 (
It seems that Ovid recently went through a redesign and now citations are
exported with the following "source" line:

SO - Medical Care September 2005;43(9):873-884

Which results in the date (month) being imported into the Journal field in
the Endnote library. Journal titles vary from one word to more than five.

Is there any way to edit the filter in order to import correctly?

Current filter (lines for "source" only):

SO - Journal Year;Volume(Issue):Pages
SO - Journal Year;Volume Issue:Pages
SO - Journal Year;Volume:Pages
SO - Journal. Volume(Issue):Pages, Year Date.

Thanks,
Astrid

I can't replicate this problem. When I search Medline via the Ovid Web
Gateway, references are exported with the source line like this:

SO - Journal of Clinical Psychiatry. 66(7):831-8, 2005 Jul.

Hi,

I also tried and got the same two result but

SO - Medical Care. 43(9):873-84, 2005 Sep. comes from Medline
SO - Medical Care September 2005;43(9):873-884 comes from journals@OVID Full Text

Could it be the explanation?

Patrice

Thanks for addressing this issue. The problem was definitely there last
week, but as of Monday I cannot replicate it, just as John can't.
