Is there a way to mark individual references in the database, and then
call them back together? If so, I can't find it in the documentation.

If you use a specific keyword for them, you can call them up by
searching for the keyword, or possibly using the subject interface.

one way is to add an identider to the keyword filed of all the showing
refs
then you can refind by using find with that id in the keyword field

If you mark them (e.g. Ctrl-Click in Windows, or by searching the library)
you can then right-click and choose 'Show Selected References'.
