I recently installed Endnotes 5 to use with Word XP. I am working on an 80
page document.
I have three major problems with Endnotes:
1. When I open up the word document, the hour glass shows up for
sometimes an hour before I can work with my document. I sometimes have to
uninstall endnotes to access my file.
2. If I insert a cite using the toolbar in Word, or if I correct a cite, my
document jumps to page 48, no matter where I am in the document.
3. If I drag a cite from Endnotes, and I have cites within endnotes that
have already been recognized, Endnotes will not recognize the new cites when
doing a format bibliography.
I have absolutely no other programs running, or anything else running in the
background when I install the program.
I have installed and uninstalled the program and used Endnotes 5 and
5.01, I have used a computer with and without a network card, and I have
used a computer with Windows ME and 98, I have used a laptop and a desktop.
The problems are always the same. The problem is not with Word, since when
I uninstall the program, everything works fine. |
