For an electronic book chapter we are writing on the use of bibliographic
management software as a piece and/or part of the health care technology
assessment process/practice, I am looking for examples of other innovative &
creative uses of EndNote to manage the ILL process or a small collection of
theses or technical reports or any type of novel use of EndNote.
Please respond to me not the list and I will summarize. If you could
include any links to your web sites where you describe the use or project,
we will include them in the chapter as well. I know there must be many
imaginative applications out there, send them my way!
Many thanks in advance!

Elaine,
I don't know how creative these two things are, but quite
a few libraries are creating databases of faculty/staff
publications with EndNote, and then using the Reference
Web Poster software to make them searchable via a web site.
We plan to do this, and so have the NCI Frederick Cancer
Research Center and several other medical libraries. I have
examples stashed away in my notes.
Also, one of our scientists showed me how he maintains
full text journal articles on his hard-drive and then
creates links to them from the EndNote records. This
often involves using the journal website's download to
citation manager function to obtain the reference in
EndNote and then saving the pdf file of the article
by right-clicking on the pdf link and then using the
"save link as" function. Then EndNote have a save link
and open link function to link the saved paper to the
correct EndNote record and then open it.
I realize that both of these may not be terribly unique.
Use them if you want. I can provide more detail on
either one.
