Have a look at Customising Individual Citations in the manual (p 200 PC
manual; p 198 Mac manual) - it sounds as if you want to add a suffix.
In brief, select the citation in Word and then select the following options:
Tools | EndNote 5 | Edit Citation(s) - which brings up the EndNote Edit
Citation dialog box. It's pretty self-explanatory from there on in.
Once you've got the hang of it you can do it directly, but you need to be
careful about it.
