Endnote's search capabilities on web
Author: Heraldo Falconi    Posted: 12/10/2001 18:32:49 GDT
Dear Endnote users:

There's a problem I am trying to solve or get around and I was hoping one of
you would know of a feasible solution. I have an endnote database of a
couple of thousand records which I am trying to post on the web and retain
Endnote's search capabilities. I tried using Reference Web Poster (version
1.1) and realized that its search capabilities were unreliable and
inconsistent. For instance, it wasn't possible to search all endnote fields
and important fields such as subjects were not translated well on the web
(commas, semicolons, etcetera). In light of the number of records any
solution which is not searchable would render the project meaningless so I
wanted to know if someone knew of a non-proprietary way (I understand for
example that if I used FileMaker I would need to have the server version
running) to post the library without having to spend too much time on
programming and maintaining. Thanks in advance,
