Small update. If you prefer to work with unformatted citations (as I do)
you can achieve the same effect just by typing the suffix text into the
unformatted citation. Just change
{Brown, 1973 #469}
to
{Brown, 1973 #469, p.53}
It seems that anything that comes after the record number is treated as
a suffix. You can also put in a prefix if you separate it from the
author with a \ such as
{MLU, \Brown, 1973 #469, p.53}

If you mean that you want e.g.
"Blah blah...blah" (Bloggs, 1990, p.53)
just put the citation in and then use the Edit Citation button or menu
item and put ", p.53" in the suffix field.
