Thanks for your suggestion, but CWYW was on. I was told to unformat the document and then format it. That solved my problem.
I was using CWYW with Endnote 8 and when I converted to Endnote X, the document wouldn't automatically format any of the new references I added. I unformatted and reformatted the document using Endnote X, and it now works.

Hello,
I wonder if you accidentally hit the Unformat citations icon ..it turns off CWYW for the remainder of that document and you must click Format Bibliography each time you make an addition to the text to insert the styled citation and if necessary a new entry in the bibliography (or wait until the end of the paper to click format Bibiliography)..
Unformat citations overrides CWYW for that document only.
If this is the case, you can start a new document (click Unformat citations, then select all/Copy) and Paste the text into the New Document where CWYW will rule supreme again.
