I have a new computer, and I cannot get the Endnote (XI.0.1) add-in to show up in Word (2003, Windows XP). I have run the Endnote configuration utility, but this does not help. When I start Word, I get the following message (in an Endnote message box): "The specified Word library cannot be unloaded because it is in use." Endnote does not show up in the Tools menu. Mike, I had a similar problem with endnote 9 and Word 2007. Dear Mike, second thought: It occurred to me that if your computer is connected into network the problem can also be that there is a conflict between your network profile and computer registry. Then you need to clean up your registry by Regedit programme: HKEY_CURRENT_USER - Software - ISI ResearchSoft. There you need to delete EndNote folder and reboot your computer.
