Hello, I've a citation style for authors that is generic, e.g. : (Smith et al, 2005). Sometimes, I've collective authors like "Gene Ontology Consortium". How can I manage this type of citation to use for example intials. Thanks a lot.

Putting a comma after the name "Gene Ontology Consortium," will ensure that the whole name is treated as a last name and will print the way you entered it.
