(Using EndNote X on Windows XP)
My PubMed connection file changes JAMA to Jama, BMJ to Bmj, etc.
In my main EndNote Preferences ---> Change case, I have already added
JAMA, BMJ, PNAS, etc. to the Do not change case to the following terms
list. But that isn't helping.
I think the problem is occurring with the PubMed connection file. When I
do a search from EndNote and look at the hits, it lists Jama in the
journal field.
I went to edit the connection file, where in the Field editing box you
can instruct the connection file on how you want it to handle
capitalization. But I was surprised to see that there isn't a journal
field, and I couldn't figure out which of those listed corresponds to
the journal field.
Can anyone help? Sorry if this has been asked before. I tried the Email
list archive but didn't come up with anything.
Thanks,
Pat Skerrett

======
The generic field corresponding to Journal is "Secondary Title".
The setting should be: Do Not Lowercase

It really doesn't matter as long as you correctly set up and utilize the
Journal Abbreviation Terms list, which has been discussed extensively in
the archives and instructions are also on the Endnote website:
http://www.endnote.com/support/faqs/Styles/faq5.asp and is discussed in
detail in the PDF manual that is installed with the program.
