Word, EndNote lose their "connection"
Author: Patrick J    Posted: May 14th, 2007 3:38PM

(Using EndNote X with Windows XP and Word 2003) Sometimes when I try to
execute the Format Bibliography command, the Format Bibliography dialog
box pops up as it should, I check the document and Output style, click
OK -- and nothing happens. EndNote fails to convert the temporary
citations into a bibliography.
If I shut down Word and restart (which is a hassle) but leave EndNote
open, EndNote seems to wake up and formats the document just fine.
Shutting down and restarting EndNote while leaving Word open doesn't
correct the problem.
Any idea what is going on here and how I can keep EndNote and Word
talking to each other?
Thanks,
Pat Skerrett
