Problem with Text in an EndNote Style Bibliography Template

I am trying to define a new style to catalog our department's technical reports and am having some difficulty. I want the report to look like the following: Report Number: 98555 Author(s): Smith, Jane Title: DEA is Great ----- To do this, I created the following Bibliography Template. Report Number: <tab> Report Number <return> Author(s): <tab> Author <return> Title: <tab> Title <return> ----- Everthing works fine (tab & return) except that EndNote is parsing Report Number in the label to the left as the field so I get the following: 98555: 98555 Smith, Jane(s): Smith, Jane DEA is Great: DEA is Great How do I tell EndNote that the first "Report Number" is text and the second one is the field to be subustituted into? You have the information in the manual. I think you must precede the text with a reverse quote, or something like that to tell what's a filed name and what's a libel content Personnaly; to avoid any of these problems (my database is targeted to multi lingual styles), and althoug it works, it's confusing for non experts, I changed all the field names adding an underscore. For example, field name Report became Rapport_ Author name became Nom_auteur EndNotes autoamtically updates the styles with field names definitions w<hich you enter, provided they correspond to the same generic entry. Tim, Page 281 in the Mac manual and page 283 in the Windows manual (EndNote 4) "Field names in Bibliographies". Here's what your style should look like: `Report Number`: <tab> Report Number <return> `Author`(s): <tab> Author <return> `Title`: <tab> Title <return>` Or in other words enclose your "labels" with accent grave when they are the same as EndNote field names.
