Subject: Re: changing 'electronic book' type Author: CrazyGecko (Maven) Date: 05-25-2011 03:43 AM You'll need to modify your APA output style's "Electronic Article"  bibliography template*. The changes would entail:   1. Inserting the "Place of Publication" and "Publisher" field after the Title. 2. Deleting the field name and word "database" after the "Retreived from". 3. Insert the Access Date following "Retrieved". 4. Insert the field name representing "NetLibrary" (is it "Website"?).   So a rough untested approximation along with punctuation and codes for Forced Separations (|) and Link Adjacent Text (*) would be:   Author. (Year)|. Title|. Location:*Publisher|. `Retrieved`*Access Date,*`from`*Website|.   _____________ *Note: Go to the EndNote toolbar, select EDIT, OUTPUT STYLES, EDIT APA [version].  In the APA style dialog box, locate "Bibliography" in the left column and just below it click on "Templates".  On the right-side, locate the Electronic Article template and make the modifications.  Then close the style which will save the changes as a copy (e.g.., APA 6th Copy).  Adjust both EndNote and MS Word to use the new file copy.

Subject: Re: changing 'electronic book' type Author: John-Arnold (Enthusiast) Date: 05-25-2011 03:52 AM I don't think APA requires an Access Date for electronic books (unless an ebook doesn't have a year of publication, which would be pretty unusual).   On the other hand, perhaps you are having to follow a local variation of APA?   Cheers John

Subject: Re: changing 'electronic book' type Author: CrazyGecko (Maven) Date: 05-25-2011 04:03 AM John-Arnold makes a great point.  I think APA phased-out access dates beginning with that electronic format supplement (which post-dated the APA 5th manual) and continues with the APA 6th.

Go to the EndNote toolbar, select EDIT, OUTPUT STYLES, Edit Strategic_Management.   2. In the Strategic_Management dialog box, locate the Citations heading then click Author Lists (see attached image).   3. In the Abbreviated Author List (first appearance, subsequent appearance), change the number "2" to "3" (or more if that's what the style guide indicates).   4. Close the Strategic_Management style. The changes will be saved as a "Copy" so adjust your EndNote and MS Word settings to use the copy of Strategic_Management.

Subject: Re: Change citations Author: Leanne (Mentor) Date: 06-27-2011 05:45 PM The best place to look, is here and I just checked and Physical Review Letters is available.  When you download it, you can open it (and it should automatically open in Endnote) and save as, changing the name back to the original without the word "copy".  You can also jump to that page from Endnote's help dropdown, and choosing "Web styles finder...".
