EndNote 6, updated to 6.0.2
WordX, SR-1 update
Mac OSX 10.2.5
Has anyone else had a problem getting the EndNote option to show
up in the Tools Menu? The button is there, and works fine, though...

I am unclear what you mean but getting the endnote option to show up? in
Endnote6 it became a heading under Tools, with submenu options? What

I also had a problem with EN not appearing in the Word Tools menu. Follow
the instructions on pages 17 and 18 of the manual all the way
through. Some EN files need to copied into the Word folder. You can also
call EN and they will walk you through the steps. It is now there and
works beautifully.

Sorry about that... The toolbar button is there and works, but the
heading under the Tools menu didn't show up.
But, apparently unchecking "Word 5.1 Menus" in the View menu fixes
it.

Not sure if you saw the message I sent yesterday...
Yeah, I did try the steps to manually add EN support into WordX.
That got
me only the toolbar button for EN...
To fix my problem, I went (in WordX) into the View menu, and
un-checked
the 'Word 5.1 Menus' option.

David
I have as below except I use OS X 10.2.6.
I find that whenever I start up Word X, in order for the CWYW
link/macro to happen I have to first got to Word menu Tools:
Templates and Add-insŠ
There I have the EN602 plug-ins installed and checked. I have to
toggle the check box: uncheck then check the box and quit from the
dialog box.
Then my CWYW menu bar and connection to EN 6.0.2 works fine.
I have to do this at the outset of using Word X, every time. If Word
X crashes, I have to go thru the same procedure.
I've got a feeling it's to do with OSX Unix and hierarchies,
privileges, users etc. I get similar thing happening with other OSX
apps, some times.

I assume you've specified the Word Startup folder in preferences,
and made sure that the 'Word 5.1 Menus' option is not set in the View
Menu?

I have EndNote 6.0.2
WordX, SR-1 update
Mac OSX 10.2.6

I checked for the 'Word 5.1 Menus' option in View menu but couldn't
find it there. I assume you mean the View:Toolbars:CustomizeŠ menus
and then I see a toolbar option "Word for Macintosh 5.1" which is
unchecked.
Any ideas why I should have to toggle the check boxes in
Tools:Templates & Add ins?
