I had been using the filter provided by EndNotes for:
Reveal (Carl Uncover) to import citations from Reveal
searchs and table of contents services.

Now that Ingenta has taken over the Reveal product and
provides the services, does anyone know which of the filters
work with Ingenta?

I have tried the Reveal filter on the table of contents
service and it only picks up part of the information.

The search article alert service follows no format that I
can tell and I have no filter format for that. Ingenta says
they will pass the information along to their developers for
future improvements in sending the search alerts in a
filter-able format.

Any help will be appreciated.

I have the same request. The EndNote people need to replace the now-useless
Reveal filter.

They also need to update their web page at
http://www.isiresearchsoft.com/en/help/ENEndNote_UnCover.htm

It seems that the Reveal filter may require TWO Ingenta filters to replace
it, because the new Ingenta keyword-search alert looks like this:

Arbitrage and control problems in finance
Jouini, E
Journal of Mathematical Economics, 2001, vol. 35, no. ER2, pp. 167-183
ELSEVIER
http://www.ingenta.com/isis/searching/Expand/ingenta?unc=1013675923

whereas the new Ingenta TOC alert looks like this:

TI: Endogenous uncertainty and market volatility
AU: Kurz, M; Motolese, M
JN: Economic Theory
PD: 2001
VO: 17
NO: 3
PG: 497-544

I spoke to the Ingenta folks last Thursday about the filter issue and
while the customer service person seemed to be aware of the issue, did not
offer a great deal of help. He did say Ingenta was looking into the
filter, but that was all.

For me, this "partnership" feature between Endnote and Reveal was a
substantial attraction.

A year or two back there was some posting to this list about importing to
EndNote from Ingenta. However I don't think anyone then came up with a
solution. Can anyone help now? What filter works with this immensely
useful resource, and can it also import the abstracts for the articles
(which don't appear with the found citation until you click for further
details)?

We have a filter for Ingenta which can be downloaded from our website at:
http://www.library.uq.edu.au/endnote/filters.html#I

When you have marked the records, select "Marked List" to display the marked
records, then click on "display for download (ASCII)" at the top of the
screen. This will open a new window. Use your browser's "Save As" function
to save the records as a text file (*.txt).

Unfortunately the download format does not include the abstracts, so
abstracts cannot be automatically imported into EndNote.
