I am also writing a thesis in English, with a lot of Russian and German authors and I have to manage to cite the Russian names as well.   In the end I modified the standard Bluebook Law Review Output Style, but I am not really happy, yet. The only thing I have to manage somehow is to insert the transliterated title as well.   I want to have a similar output to what you have, i.e.   Transliterated Author, A.B. (Author in Russian), Tranlitirated Title (Translated Title and Russian Title, p. (Year).   Has anyone any hints on how to achieve it?   Thank you very much in advance   P.S. I am using Endnote X5 with Word 2010 (Windows 7) and Endnote X5 with Word 2011 (Mac OS X Lion) - the database is syncing via Dropbox.

Subject: Re: Author citation issue Author: LLCC (Contributor) Date: 01-18-2012 10:40 AM If you add a comma at the end of the name, so that the author field reads: "The Commission for Truth and Reconciliation," that will force EndNote to treat the whole thing as though it was a multi-part surname with no forename and it should print correctly.   I think if you have any organisations who actually do have commas within their full name then you are stuck.

Subject: Re: Author citation issue Author: Leanne (Mentor) Date: 01-18-2012 05:54 PM Well, double commas help some in the record, but then you often have to edit the citation in the text, hiding the author name and typing in a prefix that represents the name as you would like it to appear in the citation itself.

Subject: Re: Author tab pane shows first names Author: CrazyGecko (Guru) Date: 02-05-2012 01:12 AM You can change it via the "Preferences" setting.  Go to the toolbar, select EDIT, PREFERENCES, then in the Preferences dialog box click to select "Display Fields". At the bottom of te screen uncheck the box labeled "Display all authors in the Author field." Click OK to close the window.
