Dear EndNote Users,
Over the weekend, automatic updates from Microsoft installed on my
computer have resulted in an error message when I open Word: "EndNote
X1: An Unknown Error Occurred." When I clear this error message by
clicking on the "X" in the upper right corner or the "OK" button, Word
churns away for a time, but will not function.
I suppose that I need to uninstall EndNote X1 in order for Word to work
correctly. But I cannot really afford to be without either program.
Do you have any suggestions for how to work around this apparent
conflict between EndNote X1 and Word?
I believe I am using the latest version of EndNote (X1.0.1, Bld 2682).
I am using Microsoft Office 2007 and Windows Vista Enterprise.
