I didn't think this happened anymore, since they fixed this bug in EN9?
Have them make a copy of the manuscript and unformat it and see if the
unformated references are correct and delete the references list. Close
endnote and the document and (to eliminate any temporary library) then
reopen the manuscript and the library and see if it formats correctly .
If this doesn't work, I would suggest contacting tech support who might
be able to fix it with a script. This used to happen if someone
edited/deleted a formated document and somehow corrupted one of the
inserted endnote fields. Another good reason I tend to keep CWYW off.

Dear all,
One of our students is using EndNote X - PC version.
He has just encountered a misnumbering/misordering of the footnotes.
The footnote citations now refer to the prior citation.
Are there any solutions to this problem?
