Hi~

I have another question and would greatly appreciate your time and help.

I'm using EndNote X's connection file to connect to my university's
library database (Z39.50). The connection file works fine and I can
search and download the search results into my EndNote library but
there seems to be a problem that I can't figure out how to fix.

While checking the downloaded references (books) I noticed that each
reference's "City" field contained both the city and state abbreviation
(e.g., San Francisco, CA). This is probably fine for most styles but
I'm using APA 5th style and it seems that state abbreviations (i.e.,
"CA") - particularly for well-known locations - should be omitted from
the bibliography.

Is there any way to parse-out the state information or another method
that might be better suited to get the results I want?

Thanks for the help.

Chick
