>From bits posted on list, I gather I am not only one having following
problem -- but there seems to be confusion about problem -- it is NOT "Link
to PDF" issue, but Open Link issue associated with URL entry. I wrote Tech
Support on this, but I wanted to confirm that this is issue with others on
the list:
It seems that 8.0.2 functionality has changed, causing problem. This to
related to URL (not to Link to PDF -- there seems to be some confusion; I
know that Link to PDF is not functional and never has been) and OPEN LINK
functionality. To date, I have been able to use URL and open link to open
pdf files stored on computer with no problem (even in 8.0.1) with difference
that more recent versions demanded no spaces (and "Link To" automatically
accommodated that by filling in %20)). Now the Open Link to these files is
no longer functioning. Instead I get "This URL (...) could not be launched".
Until and unless the Link to PDF is corrected, this is disastrous adjustment
(if it was made on purpose) for those of us who had adapted to this
functionality in the past. And even then it is a problem since folks like me
have put all our linking "eggs" in the URL basket. Please PLEASE see if this
can be restored....
