Hi
At my library we use EN7 and I think the library catalog connection
file was edited with EN7. A patron using EN8 (with the update) reported
not being able to connect to the library catalog with the EN7 file. What
versions can create connection files that work with EN8? And can EN7 use
EN8 connection files?
Have a nice day

Connection files, filters and styles written in earlier versions can all be
used with EndNote 8. I have been doing so, without obvious problems (other
than the known bugs with version 8).
Connection files, filters and styles written (or edited) in EndNote 8 cannot
be used with earlier versions. This is bad news for those of us who write
filters, etc. for our clients. We will have to continue creating these in
EndNote 7 for quite some time, until all of our clients have upgraded to
EndNote 8 (or later), and I think that could be some years away yet!
